Soch Liya - Radhe Shyam (Hindi) Single Review

The makers of Radhe Shyam are having a ball by dropping one single after another. Since the Hindi version has a separate soundtrack, the anticipation has doubled. The first single, Aashiqui Aa Gayi, is already trending and is the most streamed Hindi song across all music streaming platforms. On December 6th, the makers released a teaser of the second single, Soch Liya, which captured many hearts. The full song was released yesterday. 

The subtle piano notes in the prelude set the somber mood of the song. Arijit Singh's voice is moving that sadness drips from every line crooned by him. The ballroom-kinda rhythm complements well with the melting tune. In fact, this number sounds way better than Aashiqui Aa Gayi. There's some kind of pleasing vibe to the entire song that you'd surely play on repeat.

The quintessential humming of the base tune gives the song a dreamy feel. Manoj Muntashir's lyrics are raw, heartbreaking, and sad. The switch over to the next octave towards the end is brilliant. Mithoon has given us a poignant number that is sure to burn the charts for the next few weeks.

The visuals of the song contain scenes taken straight out of a fairytale book. Vintage props are used to enhance the setting of the love story. It must be a treat to watch Manoj Paramahamsa's stunning cinematography on the screen. Prabhas and Pooja Hegde are two eye-candy lovebirds in the song.

Radhe Shyam is touted to be a period sci-fi romance drama set in 1970s Europe. The glimpse and songs from the movie have already become a roaring hit. Produced by UV Creations and T-Series, the movie is slated to release on 14th January 2022.

Atrangi Re Music Review

Garda begins on a high note with some energetic beats. Daler Mahendi is the soul of the number and he is in full form. Since this is the intro track of Akshay Kumar, it's gonna trailblaze the charts for a long time. Another song to join the bandwagon of Rahman's instantly-catchy songs. Up next is the already popular Chaka Chak that's gonna become a staple in all the weddings in the upcoming days. This danceable number in the voice of Shreya Ghoshal is the South Indian-ish Param Sundari. An instant winner!

Tere Rang opens with some racy chorus that soon escalates to a mesmerizing Hindustani chorus. Haricharan yields the megaphone with ease. Shreya Ghoshal wears her Banarasiya avatar and croons like a nightingale. The repetitive 'tere rang rang...' is sure to linger in your ears for a long time. Soon, classical dancers would be shaking a leg to this number. First melodious pick of the album! Next up is the peppy Little Little in the voice of Dhanush. The piccolo in the first interlude must probably be the theme of Dhanush's character. With a foot-tapping rhythm, the cuteness in the song is irresistible. Dhanush is aptly supported by chorus and Hiral Viradia whose mellowed rendition is a plus point of the song. A special mention to the fast-paced kuthu outro at the end of the song.

Arijit Singh croons the pathos Tumhein Mohabbat. At first, the guitar strums deceive the listener (one must think that it would be an unplugged lounge song), but then Rahman takes us on a moving Hindustani ride. Interspersed with some haunting lines, the song would take time to grow on you, but it's all worth it in the end. Rait Zara Si is easily the best song of the album. One can listen to Rahman of the 90s, 2000s, 2010s, and 2020s in this beautiful track. The song has a breezy aura that turns addictive with every listen. The effervescent folk rhythm gives the song a classical touch. Though the song is owned by Arijit Singh, Shashaa Tirupathi brings in a whiff of fresh air with her two lines. The choral humming 'vaasam veesudhadi...' is haunting.

Rahman ropes in Flamenco gypsy music for the last number Toofan Si Kudi. Right from the chorus in the prelude till the end line, there's no one dull moment in the song. The tune is kinda addictive and it will make you want to listen to the track on repeat. Rashid Ali-ARR combo has already given us some mind-blowing songs like Kabhi Kabhi Aditi, Kahin Toh, Cry Cry, and Nazar Laaye. No wonder this song is another gem from Rashid.

Verdict: A.R. Rahman belts out yet another roaring soundtrack for Aanand L. Rai. Much like Raanjhanaa, this album too has lots of traditional, classical, and folk touches (though it cannot be compared to the unbeatable Raanjhanaa). All the songs have a South Indian-ish touch since Dhanush plays a Tamilian in the movie.

Aashiqui Aa Gayi - Radhe Shyam (Hindi) Single Review

Radhe Shyam is one of the most awaited pan-India projects. The movie is simultaneously made in two languages - Hindi, and Telugu, while it is dubbed in Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. Starring Baahubali-fame Prabhas and Pooja Hegde, the film has created a huge buzz with its glimpse, character teaser, and first single. Maine Pyar Kiya fame Bhagyashree will be seen playing Prabhas' mother in the movie. The music is composed by Justin Prabhakaran for Telugu and other dubbed versions, while the Hindi version will have a separate soundtrack composed by Mithoon, Amaal Malik, and Manan Bharadwaj.

The first single, Aashiqui Aa Gayi, was released today at 11.00 AM. The song is an out-and-out romantic ballad. Opening with subtle guitar strums, the song breaks into full love mode with Arijit Singh's buttery rendition. The composition is simple, but it can instantly hook you on if you are a Bollywood mush enthusiast. 

The only let-down is that the song sounds very similar to other compositions by Mithoon. In fact, the number seems like an identical twin to 2016's popular romantic song Sanam Re. What more? My Spotify played Sanam Re just after Aashiqui Aa Gayi. Even a music streaming app could find that the song was a carbon copy. 

However, respite comes in the form of a chorus at the end which gives a grand finale to a usual love song. The humming 'Oh hooo oh hooo...' is quite addictive. Mithoon's lyrics are heart-melting and soon you can find the lines from the song being posted on WhatsApp statuses and Insta Stories. No matter what, Aashiqui Aa Gayi is going to trend and stay as a chartbuster for a long time. The visuals of the song are eye-candy, dreamy, and fairy-tale-like. Kudos to Manoj Paramahamsa for the pleasing cinematography!

Directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, Radhe Shyam is touted to be a period romantic drama with sci-fi elements in it. It is jointly produced by UV Creations, Gopi Krishna Movies, and T-Series. The tentative release date is January 14th, 2022.

Chaka Chak - Atrangi Re Single Review

Atrangi Re is Aanand L. Rai's upcoming movie. Touted to be a musical love triangle, the movie has Dhanush, Akshay Kumar, and Sara Ali Khan playing the lead roles. The music is composed by Isaipuyal A.R. Rahman. The soundtrack is said to contain traditional and folk-based songs along with a couple of melodies to tug at your heartstrings. Produced by T-Series, Colour Yellow Productions, and Cape of Good Films, the film is all set to release on December 24th on Disney+ Hotstar.

The trailer of the movie was released a few days ago. It was received well by fans of the lead stars. T-Series released the first single from the movie today. Titled Chaka Chak, the song begins with Rahman's signature flute drops and moves on to some foot-tapping beats. Once Shreya Ghoshal takes over, there's no one dull moment in the song. 

As seen in the visuals, the song is set in a South Indian engagement. So, the song also sounds South Indian-ish throughout. With high energy beats and an ebullient nadaswaram section in the first interlude, this danceable number takes me back to Rahman's Azhagiya Tamizh Magan days. 

Also, this number joins the bandwagon of instantly-catchy-Rahman-songs that cater well to the youngsters of this generation. The cacophony of drums, mridangam, tabla, and ghatam in the second interlude deserves a special mention.

After the sensational Param Sundari, Shreya Ghoshal gets to croon another chartbuster. With Sara Ali Khan's scorching dance moves, this song is sure to stay on the charts for a long time. It would feature when a forcefully-married couple, Dhanush and Sara, return to the former's hometown for his engagement with another woman. Vijay Ganguly has choreographed Sara's enthralling dance moves.

1. Pappi Le Loon - Sunidhi Chauhan, Shashwat Sachdev

The album begins with an energetic number that has girlishness written all over it. The house-mix beats and the crossover with Bhangra in the interlude set the joyful mood of the song. With some synth loops and sensual sounds in the middle, this number scores high on the discotheque quotient. Sunidhi Chauhan's bashful rendition falls short and Shashwat Sachdev's voice is nowhere to be heard. Just an average party track.

2. Bhangra Ta Sajda - Neha Kakkar, Romy, Shashwat Sachdev

A full-on Bhangra is up next in the album. Romy and Shashwat Sachdev entertain the listeners with their respective renditions. However, it is Neha Kakkar's sensuous rendition that stands out. There's nothing new in the orchestration or the arrangement of the instruments. It's just yet another dance number that is present in the movie just to scorch the screens.

3. Laaj Sharam - Divya Kumar, Jasleen Royal, Enbee

This contemporary Punjabi wedding number by White Noise is yet another Bhangra song that is present for a wedding sequence in the movie. Apart from the upbeat rhythm, there's nothing unique in the song to write home about. The singers Divya Kumar and Jasleen Royal do justice to their respective lines. Expect some rigorous dance steps to this number.

4. Veere - Vishal Mishra, Aditi Singh Sharma, Dhvani Bhanushali, Nikita Ahuja, Payal Dev, Lulia Vantur, Sharvi Yadav

After some commercial chartbusters, composer Vishal Mishra brings in a refreshing change to the album with this urban track. His effervescent voice coupled with Aditi Singh Sharma's fruity vocals and the ebullient chorus make this song a lovely listen. The instantly catchy tune brings in an addictive tone to the number and the repetitive phrase 'Veere veere...' is sure to become an anthem in the upcoming days. Pick of the album!

5. Bass Gira De Raja - Shashwat Sachdev

Shashwat Sachdev dons the cap of composer again. The specialty of this song lies in the enthralling usage of bass. Coupled with the house-mix rhythm, this number has an interesting arrangement of instruments. Shashwat Sachdev croons with elan, bringing in some semi-classical touches occasionally. Might do even better with visuals.

6. Aa Jao Na - Arijit Singh, Shashwat Sachdev

The low-pitched rendition of Arijit Singh is different to listen. And when he goes 'Aa jao na...', his voice sounds like honey to the ears. Shashwat Sachdev indulges in some mellowed piano notes and brings in a breezy soundscape with the dulcet bass sections. The simplistic tune is instantly likeable. Perfect number for a long drive with your loved one!

7. Dagmag Dagmag - Vishal Mishra, Payal Dev

Composer Vishal Mishra comes up with a quirky number. Right from the word go, the number is surrounded by an addictive atmosphere. Despite having a stereotyped rhythm, Vishal indulges in some funny percussion. His high-pitched rendition along with Payal Dev's joyful vocals make this number a fantastic listen. Enjoyable all the way!

8. Tareefan - Badshah

Released as a single, this number has been on the top of the charts for a long time. Though its a peppy club song, the lounge-like atmosphere provides an innovative streak. Badshah's rap is top-class, making the song all the more likeable. Expect some upbeat visuals with the leading ladies in this one. Classy finish!

Verdict:

Veere Di Wedding is a cacophony of Punjabi wedding numbers, except a couple of pleasing melodies. Strictly tailored for fat Indian weddings!

This mesmerizing number has patriotism stamped all over it. Dedicated to Alia Bhatt's character Sehmat, this number has a heartmelting tune and moving lyrics by the legendary Gulzar. SEL punctuate the entire song with some bright percussion and brilliant string arrangement. Arijit Singh croons with elan and makes the number an emotional listen. The track traces the journey of Sehmat from a daughter to a wife and then to a spy. First pick of the album!

2. Dilbaro - Harshdeep Kaur, Vibha Saraf, Shankar Mahadevan

A mild celebratory song is up next. This number has every element of a wedding song, though it's not energetic and danceable. With its simplistic tune, this song captures every listener who loves light folk music. Harshdeep Kaur is the perfect singer for this number, while Vibha Saraf's occasional quipping elevates the mood of the song. However, it is Shankar Mahadevan's bit towards the end that stands as the highlight. A special mention to the efficient usage of Rabab and Sarangi.

3. Raazi - Arijit Singh

Arijit Singh gets to render yet another enthralling number. This song also has a patriotic feel, albeit its light folksy touches. SEL make this number more endearing by indulging the tune in some excellent mandolin sections and a thumping rhythm. Overall, the number has a 90s feel that makes us want more of it. However, it's a lengthy number. Hence, the listeners have much to enjoy and appreciate here. Addictive! Hit the repeat button!

4. Ae Watan (Female) - Sunidhi Chauhan

This version also has the same mood of the male version. Sunidhi Chauhan gets to display her best here and she renders Gulzar's patriotic lyrics flawlessly. She is accompanied by an astounding kids' chorus. SEL reach the purple patch with this song. Another winner!

Verdict:

This soundtrack once again showcases Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy's versatility. The songs are instant winners and are expected to rule the charts in the coming days.

Right from its release day, this single has been making waves on the Internet. This short and sweet romantic number composed by Abhishek Arora has all the elements to turn into a chartbuster. Though it has an oft-repeated template, it might work well with new-gen youngsters. Armaan Malik croons like a dream and his voice is pleasant to listen. An above-average tune that would grow on you slowly.

2. October Theme - Shantanu Moitra

On popular demand, this instrumental was released as the first single from the album. With mellowed piano notes and some mesmerizing symphonic violin, this theme scores high on musical richness. The melancholic violins are accompanied by some ebullient strings making it a grand listen. Soul-stirring theme from Shantanu Moitra!

3. Tab Bhi Tu - Rahat Fateh Ali Khan

There's something magical in Rahat Fateh Ali Khan's voice that stirs the soul and calms all the senses. He emotes well and makes this slow romantic number stand out in the entire soundtrack. Anupam Roy engages the lovely tune with some dulcet guitar strums and enthralling flute sections in the interludes. Though the song begins like an unplugged one, some mild beats accompany it soon and makes it all the more lovey-dovey. Heartwarming!

4. Manwaa - Sunidhi Chauhan

A lilting romantic pathos is up next. This Shantanu Moitra composition is endearing to listen. Swanand Kirkire's heartmelting lyrics skillfully reflect the pain of a heartbroken woman. Sunidhi Chauhan's vocals ooze with melody and feel like honey to the ears. Shantanu keeps the tune simple which is devoid of heavy orchestration or rhythm. The only flip is the song's length, which could have been crisper. Makes for a pleasant listen!

5. Chal - Monali Thakur

How much ever you try to like this number, you just can't. With a lousy tune, Shantanu Moitra tries to compose a girly number. But the song falls flat and ends up as a blaring cacophony of unwanted sounds. Even Monali Thakur's vocals cannot save the song, as her modulation doesn't suit well. You can very well skip this number, since it is placed at the last of the album.

Verdict:

Though Shantanu Moitra gets the upper hand in the soundtrack, it is Anupam Roy's single that makes the album feel majestic. If Tab Bhi Tu is truly appreciated by music lovers, then it might end up in the charts along with the simple Theher Ja.

The overall mood of the song calls in for many remixes that would rock the dance floors, while the original pace has a chill-out tone. Badshah sounds like the usual rap singer, while it is Aastha Gill's silky voice that spices up the sensuousness of the number. Nothing new to laud about.

2. Patola - Guru Randhawa

This Punjabi Bhangra song composed and crooned by Guru Randhawa is high on energy and dance flavour. It's sure to be played on all grand weddings and other occasions. With its techno beats, this song also serves as a discotheque number. However, there's nothing new here too. Just a plain dance number that would be on the charts for a few days and turn into a forgettable one.

3. Bewafa Beauty - Pawni Pandey

Amit Trivedi's stride as a composer begins with this number. This foot-tapping track falls somewhere in between an item number and a montage song. It has an interesting arrangement of instruments and a rhythm that is addictive. The total efforts of the song fall on the shoulders of Pawni Pandey, who renders like a pro with the right modulations. This number also sounds like some Indipop numbers of the 90s. Sure to climb the charts!

4. Badla - Amit Trivedi, Divine

This high-voltage montage track is sure to scorch the screens during some tough scenes. Songs like this one are a cakewalk for Amit Trivedi who has composed plenty of energetic situational numbers. More than Amit's vocals, it is rapper Divine's (Vivian Fernandes) rap portions that stand out. Though you might not repeatedly play this, it is sure to excel better with visuals.

5. Nindaraan Diyaan - Amit Trivedi

A lilting romantic ballad is up next on the album. This breezy solo has Amit Trivedi's stamp all over it. His mesmerizing voice emotes well at the right lines and makes the song even lovelier. The dulcet guitar strums, piano notes and faraway flute sections accentuate the romantic mood of the song. The blaring and highly energetic changeover towards the end is an intelligent move by Amit Trivedi and it blends well with the number. Beautiful!

6. Sataasat - Amit Trivedi

Here comes an experimental number from Amit Trivedi. The dubstep rhythm and the brilliant orchestration, coupled with Amit's enthralling vocals, make the song a must-listen. The occasional 'aah' sounds and water droplets are some innovative factors of the song. If you are someone who listens to unconventional numbers and appreciates them, then don't miss this song. One of Amit's best compositions!

Verdict:

Barring the two party songs, the album of Blackmail contains highly situational numbers from Amit Trivedi that make for a worthy listen. Though the songs are not chartbuster material, they can be enjoyed by true music lovers.

Recreating a sensational Punjabi song is a tough job. Especially if the execution is haywire, the song would turn out to be a damp squib. However, Sandeep Shirodkar does a commendable job in remixing the popular Mundian To Bach Ke bhangra song and giving it an excellent contemporary touch. Singers Navraj Hans and Palak Muchhal also do justice to the number with their playful vocals. Chartbuster!

2. Ek Do Teen - Shreya Ghoshal, Parry G (rap)

Here comes yet another remix version of the evergreen song Ek Do Teen from Tehzaab. This song is touted to be an item number featuring actress Jacquelin Fernandez. With some high-on-energy beats, this remix version is foot-tapping and is sure to stay on the charts just for its popularity quotient. Though Shreya Ghoshal puts in her best efforts, somewhere midway her rendition falls short. Rap by Parry G also doesn't make any impact. This Sandeep Shirodkar rehash would work well with the visuals.

3. O Saathi - Atif Aslam

Beginning with a lilting lullaby-like humming, this mellifluous romantic ballad is sure to mesmerize every music lover. This song scores high on the breezy quotient with its simplistic tune and minimal orchestration. The entire number lies on Atif Aslam's shoulders, whose flawless rendition flows like honey in the ears. Dulcet guitar strums and flute loops punctuate throughout the song and elevate its lovely mood. Instantly likeable track from composer Arko!

4. Lo Safar - Jubin Nautiyal

Mithoon gets into his composer mode with this refreshing love song. The ebullient guitar strums play throughout the background and set the overall mood of the song. Heartmelting flute sections in the interludes accentuate the romantic feel. Jubin Nautiyal's voice oozes with melody and he croons with elan. Though the song has an oft-repeated template, it is sure to find a top place in the charts and linger in your playlists for a long time. Beautiful!

5. Soniye Dil Nayi - Ankit Tiwari, Shruti Pathak

A cacophony of flute and strings open this number along with a lovely chorus. The song then veers off into a soulful duet with some foot-tapping beats and a reverberating effect that would calm the listener. Ankit Tiwari and Shruti Pathak yield the megaphone with ease and their mellowed rendition makes this number even more amazing. The electronic guitar section in the second interlude provides the ideal break before continuing the breeziness of the number. Perfect for lovey-dovey evenings with your loved one!

6. Get Ready To Fight Again - Pranaay, Anand Bhaskar, Jatinder Singh, Siddharth Basrur, Big Dhillon

Right from the word go, this theme song has some energetic techno beats and electro dance music that is perfect for a situational number. There's nothing new in the tune, except the jubilant voices of Jatinder Singh, Siddharth Basrur, Pranaay, Big Dhillon and Anand Bhaskar. This short theme track will do better with visuals.

Verdict:

This multi-composer soundtrack is high on melody and feel-good songs. These songs are sure to be played repeatedly in the upcoming days. Listen to this album for those sweet melodies and give the remixes a try.

An out and out club number welcomes you. This one is a blend of bhangra beats and western elements which provides it an old-school feel, despite being in a coming-of-age film. Sunidhi Chauhan's voice is such a classic for this number and she is aptly supported by Suresh Peters. Bollywood is replete with gross party numbers these days, but this one is a mellowed one which doesn't cross the limits and stays enjoyable in its comfort zone. Tap your feet to the engaging beats!

2.Yaaro-Sunidhi Chauhan,Salman Ahmed

Much like the previous number, Yaaro is also a dance song which could serve as the right choice for DJs in the pubs. Sunidhi Chauhan is in top form with her effervescent voice while Salman Ahmed joins her towards the end with his sultry rendition. Though the number is fast-paced, one cannot miss the string of melody accompanying it throughout.

3.Ankhon Se Ojhal-Adeel Chaudhry

Here comes a melody that is sure to tug at your heartstrings as it progresses. Filled with dulcet guitar strums, mellowed rhythm arrangement and a trance-like aura, this song is a beautifully composed one. Especially Adeel Chaudhry's voice is honey-dipping and reminds of Atif Aslam and Arijit Singh. Despite being simple in terms of tune, this track is sure to leave a lasting impression!

4.Kaise Boloon-Salman Ahmed

Beginning with a euphoric shout of 'I am in love', this number veers off into a speedy love track. The entire arrangement of the song might have worked well in the early 2000s. But it feels deviated from the rest of the soundtrack, especially Salman Ahmed's sequenced rendition sounds out of place. Though it might reflect Pakistani music, it takes time to grown on the casual listeners.

5.Yeh Nasha-K.K,Natalie Di Luccio

As soon as K.K begins 'Yeh Nasha...', you'd find yourself on a breezy ride. His enthralling voice is heavenly to listen, if you plug on to your headphones on a serene night. Natalie Di Luccio has much lesser part to play, as she mouths just a few lines in English. A brilliant fusion of rock and melody is what this trance-like number offers the listeners. Elegant composition!

6.Ankhon Se Ojhal (Sad)-Adheel Chaudhry

Similar to the original, this one is also poignant and soothing to listen to. The complete unplugged environment works in favor of the heartrending melody. All lovelorn people out there would feel an instant connect with this magical pathos. Short and sweet!

Almost every Bollywood soundtrack has a full-fledged Punjabi number these days. And Rhythm is also not spared. Replete with foot-tapping bhangra beats, a few interspersed western elements and Naveed Zafar's nasal rendition, this one is a complete type-casted Punjabi course meal.

8.Do You Wanna Dance With Me (English)-Natalie Di Luccio,Suresh Peters,Harshdeep Kaur

The fantastic party track returns in an English version. When compared, this one is much better than the original in terms of the DJ arrangement and Natalie Di Luccio's flawless and energetic rendition. Harshdeep Kaur's supplementary rendition adds color to the enjoyable number. Chartbuster material!

Verdict:

Rhythm is a mixed bag of melodies and fast-paced numbers. Though this one has the potential to end up as a chartbuster soundtrack, the low hype and hoopla surrounding the movie doesn't provide enough exposure to the songs.

Beginning with a glorious chant, Kavita Seth's soul-stirring voice uplifts the mood of the song. Vishal Khurana weaves a poignant melody that is striking right from the start. Be it the accompanying guitar strums, the radiant chorus or the chord progression, everything fits in perfectly in this melody. Scintillating and emotional!

2.Aankhein Milayenge Darr Se-Neha Bhasin,K.Mohan

Much like the previous number, this one too begins with a mantra chant. Predominantly filled with thumping rock beats and vibrant chorus, this energetic number is sure to boost your mood. Since the chorus takes a major part in this track, the voices of the lead singers are overshadowed.

3.Gehra Ishq-Shekhar Ravjiani

One gets a notion that this might turn out to be yet another melody of Bollywood soundtracks. But this melodious number deceives the listeners with its initial notes. Starting on rather romantic lines, this song soon veers off into a full fledged qawwali love number. Shekhar Ravjiani's enthralling voice flows like honey on the ears. A pleasant solo!

4.Aisa Kyun Maa-Sunidhi Chauhan

Sung from the point of view of a daughter, this beautiful number is a ode to all mothers in the world. Sunidhi Chauhan's carefree singing along with the unplugged mode of the number and the mellowed violins in the background make this track a bliss to listen to. Though there might have been lots of tribute songs for mothers, the sweetness in this one is incomparable!

Verdict:

Vishal Khurana comes up with a short, tender and sweet soundtrack which aptly suits the biopic theme of the movie.

1.Mar Jaayen-Atif Aslam

The album opens with a classic melody that has Mithoon's stamp all over it. Thankfully, Arijit Singh is spared here and it is Atif Aslam who yields the megaphone. His velvety voice flows passionately along with the scintillating tune. Mithoon's trademark guitar strums add spice to the melody, while the minimal rhythm pattern works largely in favor of the song. Enticing begin!

2.Peene Ki Tamanna-Vishal Dadlani,Parichay

After a pleasing melody, here comes a jarring high-on-energy number with nonsensical lyrics that highlights the merits of drinking. An upbeat party song with the usual dance floor elements. Vishal Dadlani's voice is overshadowed by the blaring background music. Though nothing unusual, it will definitely scorch the screens.

3.Dono Ke Dono-Neha Kakkar,Parichay

Yet another dance number makes its way into the soundtrack. Similar to the previous one, this too has high-on-energy beats and screeching orchestration in the background. The only difference between the two numbers is that this one is a romantic one with modern cheesy love lyrics. The lead singers do a commendable job, despite their voices being suppressed by the instrumentation.

4.Chitta Kukkad-Neha Kakkar,Gippy Grewal

Composer Parichay comes up with yet another peppy number. But this track has a heavy Punjabi flavor to it. Also the singers Gippy Grewal and Neha Kakkar render their lines in their nasal voice which peps up the Punjabiness even more. But the tune isn't catchy and it doesn't easily appeal to the listeners even after repeated listens.

5.Total Talli-Parichay,Teesha Nigam

Listeners tend to get exhausted when it is yet another party number in the album. Even Parichay's idea of adopting A.R.Rahman's Ramta Jogi tune for the Total Talli phrase sounds awkward. Once again, the number is spoiled by blaring music and bland rendition by the singers.

6.Mar Jaayen (Reprise)-Atif Aslam

The melodious number returns in the form of a heartrending reprise. Mithoon indulges in some enchanting violin sections which increases the mellifluous aura of the song. Atif Aslam's voice is even more subtle in this version as the entire arrangement is unplugged. Beautiful!

7.Mar Jaayen (EDM Remix)-Atif Aslam

Seriously, the most soul-stirring number of this album is completely spoiled by this EDM Remix. There is nothing to brag about the arrangement here. This version is unnecessary and might even irritate the listeners after the first few lines.

8.Peene Ki Tamanna (EDM Remix)-Vishal Dadlani,Parichay

Already the original sounds like an EDM one, so this version doesn't make any difference. Listeners cannot find a single likeable aspect in this one.

9.Dono Ke Dono (Chill Trap Remix)-Parichay,Neha Kakkar

The chilled out romantic number returns in a Chill Trap remix. But surprisingly, this version sounds better than the original one up to some extent.

10.Total Talli (Trap Remix)-Parichay,Teesha Nigam,Joe Louis

I wonder why Parichay has brought in too many remixes for this album. The songs might not even appear in the film. And this number too is bland like the original version.

11.Chitta Kukkad (Male)-Gippy Grewal,Neha Kakkar

Well, the original version was confusing and this one too confuses the listener with its puzzling tune arrangement. And also, despite mentioned as a Male number, we get to hear Neha Kakkar's voice.

Verdict:

Loveshhuda's album targets only the party animals with its numerous party tracks and remixes of them. Only a single melody uplifts the mood of the soundtrack.

1.Yeh Fitoor Mera-Arijit Singh

A waltzy love ballad is what Amit Trivedi serves us in the opening. He progresses the beautiful tune in a gradual manner with excellent strings and guitar orchestration. He retains his signature style of soft rock in this one too. Arijit Singh constructs his voice in accordance to the ethereal tune, though he sounds stereotyped. Typically Amit-ish!

2.Pashmina-Amit Trivedi,Komail Shayan

Here comes a slow poison that will get on to your nerves with repeated listening. Filled with dollops of violins, strings and middle-eastern flute sounds, Pashmina spells heaven right from the beginning. Amit Trivedi enchants by lending his voice to the soul-stirring tune. The rhythm pattern has a slight resemblance to Paighaam Laya Sawan from Lakeer. Comparisons apart, this one is a gem that is poetic all the way!

3.Haminastu-Zeb Bangash

Beginning on poetic Persian lines "Gar firdaus, ruhe zamin ast, hamin asto, hamin asto, hamin asto" which literally translates to "If there is ever a heaven on Earth, it is here, it is here, it is here". Amit Trivedi weaves a magical tune with his ebullient assortment of strings, peppered with Persian flavors. However, it is Zeb Bangash's earthy rendition that will make you crave for looping the number. The Santoor section towards the end is a brilliant stroke brought in by Amit. A Persian classic!

4.Hone Do Batiyan-Nandini Srikar,Zeb Bangash

Stringed instruments like mandolin and rabab dominate this amazing soft rock fusion. Amit ropes in two eminent singers to croon this free-flowing number. Nandini Srikar's classical vocals are interspersed with Zeb's raw voice which makes the overall output an alluring Kashmiri folk melody. Amit deserves a special applause for his excellent orchestration and chord progression. Pleasant listen!

5.Tere Liye-Jubin Nautiyal,Sunidhi Chauhan

Once again Amit brings in a mystical combination of string based orchestration (Chennai String Orchestra). The symphonic progression of the melody topped with Jubin Nautiyal's effervescent vocals makes the number an engaging listen. Sunidhi Chauhan showcases her singing prowess to the pinnacle, bringing out her melodious dimension beautifully. Another evergreen winner!

6.Ranga Re (Hindi)-Amit Trivedi,Sunidhi Chauhan

After a string of soulful melodious numbers, here comes a digitally sequenced track. However, Amit retains the melody in this one too, with the help of Sunidhi Chauhan, who oscillates between soothing tones and soprano notes. Amit joins her later with a Pashmina kind of rendition and does a fabulous job. Passionate composition!

7.Ranga Re (English)-Caralisa Monteiro,Amit Trivedi

The previous number appears in a English version too. There is no changeover in the tune or the orchestration, except for Caralisa Monteiro crooning in her enthralling voice. The album could have done without this track too, which I found as the only weak track in an otherwise marvelous soundtrack.

Verdict:

Amit Trivedi's second collaboration with Abhishek Kapoor has resulted in a magnificent soundtrack that is sure to break all the records and stay on the charts for a long time!

1.Jugni (Title Track)-Javed Bashir

Accompanied all over by jubilant guitar strums, this folkish title track composed by Clinton Cerejo is one of the best title songs of recent times. Clinton's experimental usage of guitar and mandolin along with the foot-tapping rhythm makes the number an energetic one. Javed Bashir's classical singing is sure to elevate your spiritual senses, especially his gamakas will make you want for more. Innovative beginning!

2.Dilaan De Saudey-Javed Bashir

With a steady rock base, Clinton comes up with yet another experimental track that might awe the music aficionados on the very first listen. The euphoric guitar strums along with a heartrending rhythm arrangement speaks volumes of creativity. Javed Bashir weaves magic with his voice yet again. The jathiswaras by him are the cherries on the cake. Pure bliss!

3.Dugg Duggi Dugg-Vishal Bharadwaj

Dulcet guitar strums welcome you to a melodious number. Clinton's tune works due to its simplicity and minimum usage of instruments, giving the earthy vocals of Vishal Bharadwaj more scope to perform. There is no unwanted gratuitous noise in the form of rhythm, as Clinton keeps it simple with just tabla beats. A neat melody!

4.Lakhon Salaam-A.R.Rahman,Kaashif Sahib

Right from the moment when Rahman's heavenly voice opens this song, listeners are pulled into a spiritual trance. The dark pathos mood of the song is elevated by the haunting flute sounds, the engaging beats and the divinely chorus. Kaashif Sahib does a splendid job by composing an addictive tune and roping the evergreen Mozart to croon it. Spirituality at its best!

5.Zarre Zarre Mein Noor Bhara-Rahat Fateh Ali Khan,Clinton Cerejo,Jazim Sharma

A delightful qawwali number is up next in the soundtrack. After a series of experimental tracks, Clinton drops down a bit to receive a bit of refreshment. The track has a heard-before feel as it imitates lots of previous qawwali numbers of Bollywood. However, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan's spiritual voice and the radiant chorus make it an engaging listen for its long duration.

6.Dil Ke Sang-Nakash Aziz,Clinton Cerejo

The beginning of this number sounds too similar to Heer Toh Badi Sad Hai from Tamasha. No doubt, it is sung by Nakash Aziz who had also crooned the former number. It is a spot on Punjabi track with Punjabi slang lyrics and Bhangra beats. Though the tune has no changeover, it can appeal to lovers of Punjabi music.

7.Hatt Mullah-Baba Bulleh Shah,Clinton Cerejo,Bianca Gomes,Shellee

Bianco Gomes' mesmerizing vocals opens this number. Then Baba Bulleh Shah takes over with his raw vocals. Clinton Cerejo weaves a beautiful fusion of Punjabi flavor and soft rock, providing Arabic elements occasionally. Bianco's English lyrics as accompaniment is an innovative idea by the composer. Another highlight!

8.Joban Hai Shawaa-Neha Kakkar,Clinton Cerejo

If there is one aspect of this track that is worth mentioning, then it is Neha Kakkar's rustic vocals. She does a brilliant job in mending her voice in accordance with the Punjabi pop tune. The accompanying chorus are also vibrant in their respective renditions. But the song is just a passable listen.

9.Bolladiyaan-Rekha Bharadwaj,Clinton Cerejo

Clinton Cerejo churns out a classic melody with his signature guitar strums forming a mellifluous base. However, it is Rekha Bharadwaj's haunting vocals that shapes the number into an experience in itself. The slow progression of the tune along with the unplugged atmosphere makes for a serene listen. Will surely appeal to true music buffs!

10.Heer-Nakash Aziz,Clinton Cerejo

This short number almost sounds like a recital with Nakash Aziz's eerie vocals getting on to your nerves. Clinton composes a strictly situational number that might be played for a montage sequence.

11.Jugni (Unplugged)-Neha Kakkar,Javed Bashir

The ebullient title track arrives in an unplugged version. This one is taken over by the earthy vocals of Neha Kakkar, whose voice is punctuated by the harmonium sections. Javed Bashir is not left behind in this version. He sounds as brilliant as usual. Enjoyable as long as it lasts.

12.Hatt Mullah (Reprise)-Bianco Gomes,Clinton Cerejo

This reprise version of Hatt Mullah is a tranquil one with Bianco Gomes' voice permeating through the atmosphere, while Clinton Cerejo's vocals make quiet an impact. 

Verdict:

Clinton Cerejo's debut musical is rich in various flavors. He experiments with his compositions and brings out a brilliant soundtrack that is sure to stay on the playlists for a long time!
