Idhu Kathirvelan Kaadhal music review

Movie: Idhu Kadhirvelan Kaadhal

Cast: Udhayanidhi Stalin,Nayanthara,Santhanam

Director: S.R.Prabhakaran

Music director: Harris Jayaraj

S.R.Prabhakaran, who debuted with the astounding Sundarapandian, brings out his 2nd outing which is touted to be a rom-com. Udhayanidhi and Nayanthara team up for the first time along with Santhanam providing the comic relief. It features music by Harris Jayaraj.

 1.Maelae Maelae-Karthik

An artistic composition by Harris that has a peppy tune. Its a simple yet enjoyable track. The funny guitar strums in the background are pleasant to the ears. Karthik's rendition is flawless and he manages to pull up a good performance. The folk beats in the 2nd interlude brings about a change in the rather urban track. A thumbs up to this one!!

2.Anbe Anbe-Harish Ragavendra,Harini

A Harris album cannot be complete with a breezy romantic duet. Right from the beginning, this track puts you on a trance. A melodious number that is on the lines of some of the compositions in 90s. Its refreshing to hear Harish Ragavendra yield the megaphone after a long time and his voice is as fresh as ever (of course, I am proud to say that I am his niece). Harini delivers the classical touches to this song that is evident in most of her songs.

3.Sara Sara Saravedi-KK,Balaji,M.K,Srilekha Parthasarathy

This is a folk number backed by ghatam beats. The guitar strums gel along with the folk tune and doesn't end up too clumsy. The violin in the interlude gives you a deja vu feeling. KK is awesome in his singing and Srilekha Parthasarathy is back with a bang. The 2nd interlude seems to be deviated a bit. Overall, an average number.

4.Vizhiye Vizhiye-Aalaap Raju

A pleasant love song that gives you a heard before feeling. Especially the flute piece in the first stanza of the number seems to be getting stereotyped. The melody part of the song carries the right amount of emotions. Aalaap Raju does a commendable job, though it could not be said as his best. This number might not appeal initially. But it could get into the charts after repetitive listens.

5.Pallaaku Devadhaiya-Jassie Gift,Jayamoorthy,Velmurugan

Another typical soup song that is on the lines of 'Venam machan' from OKOK. But its not catchy as the former one. The tempo is maintained evenly and it does not end up derailed. High profile singers like Jassie,Jayamoorthy and Velmurugan are the only saving factors of the song. Strictly for the front benchers!!!

Verdict:

Though there are a couple of good numbers to listen to, its hard time that Harris started composing something new. But he maintains his style in all the songs which gives the album a unique identity.

Highway 2014 music review

Movie: Highway(2014)

Cast: Randeep Hooda,Alia Bhatt

Director: Imtiaz Ali

Music director: A.R.Rahman

The duo is back!!! Imtiaz Ali and A.R.Rahman. The duo which created magic with Rockstar. Highway has big stars like Randeep Hooda and Alia Bhatt.

1.Patakha Guddi-Nooran Sisters

The album kick starts with this energetic Punjabi westernized folk number. The soul of the song lies in the powerful rendition by the Nooran sisters(Jyoti and Sultan). The flute piece in the interlude has the traditional Rahman touch. A powerful number that is instantly addictive and catchy. A perfect start to the album!!!

2.Maahi Ve-A.R.Rahman

A soulful love track with pumped up beats. Whats more!! Its sung by A.R.Rahman with his evergreen magical voice. The tune is haunting and the lyrics are enthralling. This one will have you revisiting it over and over. A pure Rahman track that will surely appeal to all Rahmaniacs!!!

3.Kahaan Hoon Main-Jonita Gandhi

Beginning with serene piano sounds, Jonita's sweet and marshmallow voice takes you in slowly. The first few seconds of the song sans any beats, are awesome and just out of the world. Once the rhythm begins, you will find yourself tapping your feet politely to it. This track is one such where you could listen in perfectly silent nights. Kudos to Rahman for composing a sweet track as this!!

4.Wanna Mash Up-Kash,Krissy,Suvi Suresh

After some soothing melodious numbers, here comes a track which is all digitalized and sways into a different genre. Its a techno-rap-reggae song that will have many youngsters dancing to it in night clubs. The track has an overall mushy feeling. But that doesn't stay with you for a longer time. Compared to all the other songs, this one is bit of a dampener in the album. Kash, Krissy and Suvi Suresh are the only saving factors with their gorgeous vocals.

5.Sooha Saha-Zeb,Alia Bhatt

And here comes the perfect hi-five track!!! Its the highlight of the album. A sweet lullaby in the voices of Zeb and Alia Bhatt herself!!! Zeb's rendition just takes you back to those lovely childhood days. Alia's voice is as sweet as honey and she carries the right amount of delicacy that is needed to this beautiful track. The song has a prevalent sad feel right from the beginning. Its like one of those soulful compositions of Rahman in the 90s. Lyrics by Irshad Kamil strike a chord with the listeners.

6.Patakha Guddi(Male version)-A.R.Rahman

That distinctive style of Rahman is what this track is all about. This one is more powerful than the original due to the harmonious modulations which Rahman brings about in his voice. It sounds more playful and makes one feel liberated. But the song takes a sensational turn when the rock part begins. Amidst the high blaring sounds of the hard rock guitar, you would hear the faint chants of Rahman. The entire track has a slight amount of Sufi influence.

7.Implosive Silence-Jonita Gandhi

This is not a complete song. Rather its a musical number with the spiritual hums of Jonita. The song is deeply calm and silent. It could be used as a meditation track in a tranquil environment. This number is said to capture the state of mind of the lead character Veera when she journeys on the highway!!!

8.Tu Kuja-Sunidhi Chauhan

Beginning with Arabic line "Tu kuja..", the track moves on to become a beautiful qawwali number. It has got a spiritual feeling that will make you enlightened after a few listens. The tune is very catchy and foot tapping. Sunidhi Chauhan's voice is picture perfect and she reaches the high notes with ease. A heavenly number with a holy touch!!!

9.Heera-Shweta Pandit

A sweet and beautiful classical number that would make you fall in love with it. Shweta's voice is mellow and tender. The divine feeling of the song tugs at your heart strings. Melody oozes from each and every corner of this number. A superb ending to the album!!!

Verdict:

Rahman once again does magic with his innovative compositions and impressive selection of singers. He proves that he is an abode of music and a real legend. The songs are sure to become chartbusters!!!

Hasee Toh Phasee music review

Movie: Hasee Toh Phasee

Cast: Siddharth Malhotra,Parineeti Chopra

Director: Vinil Mathew

Music Director: Vishal-Shekar

Hasee Toh Phasee has created quiet a flutter right from its launch. Having popular faces like Siddharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra, this movie promises a lot. Lets see how the music has come up.

1.Punjabi Wedding Song-Benny Dayal,Sunidhi Chauhan

Beginning with a highly paced Bhangra beats, this track soon turns out be a perfect wedding song for the generations to come. The entire credits should be given to Sunidhi Chauhan for her power packed singing. Benny Dayal also does a commendable job by delivering his lines energetically. The chorus and temped up dhol beats make this song a groovy one. A cool song that will be played on all weddings and dance floors. A perfect start to a fresh album!!

2.Shake It Like Shammi-Benny Dayal

Wow! Another 'Badtameez Dil'!! Vishal-Shekar have created a rock n roll song with a slight touch of the 80s. The repetitive 'Shake it like Shammi' line makes you really shake the way you want. Once again Benny Dayal yields the megaphone and this number is completely his show. Though it can't match up to 'Badtameez Dil', the track has its own unique style of keeping you entertained.

3.Drama Queen-Vishal Dadlani,Shreya Ghoshal

A racy party song that has the versatile Shreya Ghoshal crooning to the high voltage beats. She really proves her versatility through such numbers. As usual Vishal Dadlani sings flawlessly, but his part goes unnoticed in front of Shreya. Overall, a passable track that would surely make its way through the night clubs.

4.Manchala-Shafqat Amanat Ali,Nupur Pant

A soft romantic ballad with a rock-ish feeling to it. The guitar strums are instantly catchy. The interlude hooks you on to the number which has a slow start. Shafqat Amanat Ali renders this track with the right amount of emotions in his voice. Fresher Nupur Pant sings gracefully with slight classical touches at some places. A beautiful situational track that might act as a slow poison!

5.Zehnaseeb-Shekar Ravjiani,Chinmayi Sripaada

This number is surely the pick of the album. A breezy romantic duet that contains various shades of melody. Its awesome to see Chinmayi getting more offers in Bollywood. Her voice is as sweet as honey and makes this song even more melodious. Shekar Ravjiani complements her well with his beautiful rendition. The guitar at the first interlude must be appreciated as it adds spice to the soulful ballad. Press the repeat button!!!

6.Ishq Bulaava-Sanam Puri,Shipra Goyal

Yet another soft number that oozes with melody. This song moves in a rhythmic pace with the sweet voices of Sanam Puri and Shipra Goyal. It gets all mushy as it progresses. Vishal-Shekar have proved that they are capable of composing beautiful romantic songs too. A perfect end to the album!!

Verdict:

Vishal-Shekar are back with a bang after a sombre outing Gori Tere Pyaar Mein. Hasee Toh Phasee album gives a fresh and entertaining start to 2014!!!

Top 10 Bollywood albums 2013

This was a complete commercial album. It had numbers that were perfect for the dance floors and parties. Songs like 'Tooh' 'Chingam chabake' and 'Dhat teri ki' were chartbusters while 'Naina' & 'Dil duffer' were also popular. Vishal-Shekhar had produced a wholesome entertaining album.

9.Phata Poster Nikla Hero-Pritam Chakraborty

This album contained an interesting mix of songs. 'Tu mere agal bagal' was on top of the charts for many weeks while the melodious numbers 'Main rang sharbaton' & 'Mere bina tu' were loved by the audience. Even the party songs like 'Hey Mr.DJ' & 'Dhating naach' were not disappointing. A good album by Pritam.

8.Kai Po Che-Amit Trivedi

Amit is known for his innovative compositions. Kai Po Che was not an exception. With just 3 tracks 'Manja' 'Shubhaaramb' and 'Meethi boliyan', Amit created an universal musical sensation.

7.Shuddh Desi Romance- Sachin-Jigar

The essence of Jaipur was completely captured by Sachin-Jigar in this album. Each and every song had that Rajasthani touch. The rock-melody 'Gulabi' created quiet a flutter in the music charts as it was undeterred for many weeks. 'Tere mere beech mein' and 'Chanchal man ati random' were other popular numbers.

6.Ramaiya Vastavaiya- Sachin-Jigar

Yet another Sachin-Jigar album. But this time they got better with their compositions. It was the breezy romantic numbers like 'Jeene laga hoon' 'Bairiyan' and 'Rang jo lagyo' that took the album to greater heights. Other notable numbers were the funny 'Peeche chutte', party song 'Hip hop pammi' and the item number 'Jaadu ka jappi'.

5.Chennai Express- Vishal-Shekhar

The South Indian touch to this album was an added advantage. With melodious numbers like 'Titli' and 'Tera rasta', the soundtrack changed its route to the energetic '1234 get on the dance floor', the frolicky number 'Kashmir mein tu kanyakumari' and the enjoyable title song. Vishal-Shekhar had come out with some numbers that were both entertaining and appealing.

4.Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani-Pritam Chakraborty

Pritam seems to have toned up his composing skills. He would not get more better than this. This album is one of the highest grossing soundtracks of the year. With the anthemic 'Badtameez dil', the folksy 'Balam pichkari', the breezy 'Subhanallah' & 'Kabira' and the innovative 'Ilahi', it was an album which had many shades to it.

3.Raanjhanaa-A.R.Rahman

Well, one could say that it was not ARR's best due to a couple of tracks. But it contained some musically rich numbers that are sure to stay with the listeners for a long time. The melodious qawwali type 'Tum tak', the sufi rock 'Piya milenge', the breezy 'Nazar laaye', the purely desi 'Banarasiya' and the creative 'Ay sakhi' were critically acclaimed numbers. Though it was not commercially appealing, I personally love this album. Thats why it made to the 3rd position of my top ten.

2.Ramleela-Sanjay Leela Bhansali

I never knew that SLB could compose so well. 10 tracks in this album and each song gives goosebumps. The enthralling numbers are 'Ang laga de re' 'Lahu mun lag gaya' 'Poore chand' 'Laal ishq' 'Dhoop se'. These numbers made the listeners to drench in the purest form of music. Other commercially successful tracks were 'Nagada sang dhol' 'Ishkyuan Dhishkyuan' 'Ram chahe leela' and 'Tattad tattad'. The album was instantly addictive.

1.Aashiqui 2-Mithun,Jeet Ganguly,Ankit Tiwari

Needless to say!!! It is the best album of the year 2013 and its going to sweep away many awards. With the love anthem 'Tum hi ho', the graceful 'Sun raha hai', the breezy romantic numbers 'Chahun main ya na' 'Hum mar jaayenge' 'Meri aashiqui', the pathos 'Bhula dena', the racy 'Piya aaye na' and the rocking 'Aasan nahin yahan' 'Milne hai mujhse aayi', this soundtrack was just out of the world!!!

Special mentions:

Lootera,Bhaag Milkha Bhaag,Ek Thi Daayan and Fukrey.

Top 10 Tamil albums 2013

10.Endrendrum Punnagai-Harris Jayaraj

It was a candyfloss album with some peppy numbers. 'Vaan engum nee minna' & 'Yele yele dosthu' became chartbusters while the enthralling 'Kadal naan than' & the melodious 'Ennai saaithaale' appealed to music lovers. Though Harris was found to be repetitive, the pleasant album made its way to my personal list of top ten.

9.Biryani-Yuvan Shankar Raja

Personally, I did not like this album much at the first listen since it did not contain any melodies. But soon the high voltage numbers like 'Nah nah nah', 'Edhirthu nil' & 'Pom pom penne' got into my nerves. Yuvan has taken his compositions to the next level and he knows how to connect with the youngsters.

8.Vathikuchi-M.Ghibran

M.Ghibran proved with this album that he is a contemporary music composer. From the musically rich numbers like 'Kuru kuru kannale' & 'Kanna kanna' to peppy and racy numbers like 'Amma wake me up' & 'Ari unnai', Ghibran threw sweet surprises to the audience.

7.Vanakkam Chennai-Anirudh Ravichander

This soundtrack became immensely popular due to Anirudh's stamp all over. It had some good enjoyable numbers like 'Osaka osaka' 'Oh penne penne' 'Ailasa ailasa' 'Engadi porandha'. Anirudh also created Chennai's anthem 'Chennai city gangsta' which became a chartbuster.

6.Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam-D.Imman

Imman is known for belting out melodious songs as well as rural numbers. He proved his mettle with this rustic yet commercial album. Ranging from the melodious 'Paakadha paakadha' to the foot tapping 'Oodha coloru ribbon', this soundtrack was entirely colourful.

5.Ethir Neechal-Anirudh Ravichander

Yet another Anirudh's album. Ethir Neechal was much better than Vanakkam Chennai in terms of composition. The album was enjoyed as a whole instead of particular numbers. Tracks like 'Bhoomi enna suthudhe' 'Velicha poove va' 'Nijamellam marandhu pochu' and 'Ethir neechal adi' were chartbusters and they were on air for a long time.

4.Kadal-A.R.Rahman

A.R.Rahman and Mani Rathinam are synonym to each other. Almost all of Mani's movies with ARR as the composer have broken records. So does Kadal! The entire album was mellifluous and ARR had forayed into different musical genres. It was evident in the offbeat 'Adiye' and the enjoyable 'Elay keechan'. The two beautiful melodies 'Nenjukulle' & 'Moongil thottam' came out as sureshot winners.

3.Raja Rani-G.V.Prakash

Well, this album made it to the top 3!!! That itself shows how grandeur it is. One could listen to different genres in this soundtrack. The acapella 'Hey baby', breezy 'Chillena', romantic folksy 'Angnyaade', peppy 'Oday oday' and the melodious 'Imaye imaye' were the gems of this album. It was another feather in G.V's cap.

2.Irandaam Ulagam-Harris Jayaraj,Anirudh Ravichander

It was one of the magnificient albums of the year where Harris composed out of his comfort zone. Though his magical touch was present in melodious songs like 'Kanimozhiye' 'Mannavane mannavane' & 'Vinnaithaandi anbe', numbers like 'En kaadhal thee' 'Raakozhi raakozhi' and 'Pazhangkalla' were quiet different compositions. Guest composer Anirudh belted out two numbers which were also wonderful.

1.Mariyaan-A.R.Rahman

And here comes the album of the year!!! Mariyaan was an out and out Rahman feast. The album climbed up the charts and stayed on the top for many weeks. The popular musical numbers were the breezy romantic songs 'Innum konjam neram' & 'Netru aval irundhal', the energetic foot tapping tracks 'Sonapareeya' & 'Kadal raasa naan', the love anthem 'Nenje ezhu' and the pathos 'Enga pona raasa'. The songs were played repeatedly in all the radio stations and it became even more famous with the movie's release.

Indipop songs of 90s

In this post, I am going to discuss about some of my favorite Indipop songs which were quiet a rage during the 90s. I was a kid at that time when I used to watch those Indian pop music videos on various channels. Sadly, these days the pop genre has lost its value. Gone are the days when we had great pop singers like Alisha Chinai, Falguni Pathak, Hans Raj Hans, Shaan, Sonu Nigam, Daler Mehendi, etc. Some of my favourite Indipop songs are listed below. I can even now listen to these songs and watch these beautiful music videos again and again.

1.Maine Paayal Hai Chankai-Falguni Pathak

I still can remember how much I loved this song as a child. And now, I have a great liking for it. I keep watching this video even now, repeatedly. This beautiful pop melody was popular in 90s and it was loved by everybody.

2.Choodi Jo Khanki-Falguni Pathak

Nobody can deny the fact that this song was the most popular Indipop song of 90s. Sung by Falguni Pathak and picturised on Riya Sen, it became an anthem for the girls of 90s. The steps of this song were performed in almost all the dance performances!!!

3.Meri Chunar Ud Ud Jaaye-Falguni Pathak

This song was a beautiful pop melody that enchanted many hearts. It had the Kollywood beauty Trisha making her debut with this music video along with Ayesha Takia in the lead.

4.O Piya O Piya-Falguni Pathak

This popular song had a funny music video in which a girl walks on a highly elevated rope, singing out to her lover.

5.Aiyo Rama-Falguni Pathak

A enjoyable pop song which appeared in the later 90s. The simple yet peppy song had a good music video that became famous.

6.Yeh Kisne Jaadu Kiya-Falguni Pathak

This number is a wonderful pop melody that still holds on to many. The video which showed a girl madly in love with her professor, only to be snubbed by him at the end. Later she finds true love in another guy.

7.Made In India-Alisha Chinai

This was not only a popular Indipop song but it went viral all over India and found a good place even in the international charts. The music video is still being played in many music channels. Alisha's best song ever.

8.Lover Girl-Alisha Chinai

This song of Alisha was equally popular as Made in India. With fast paced dance moves, this song makes everyone groove to its beats.

9.Vaalparai Vattaparai-Malgudi Shubha

A Tamil pop song which became a range in 90s. Malgudi Shubha's rather ferocious singing made this pop song famous and the music video went viral after its release.

10.Ussele Ussele-Srinivas

It was a pucca village Tamil pop song by Srinivas. The video became popular and the song was sung in many stage shows.

11.Nasha Hi Nasha Hai-Sukhwinder Singh

An excellent pop song rendered flawlessly by Sukhwinder singh. The music video spoke about two lovers who did not have a life together.

12.Aur Ahista-Pankaj Udhas

This is my most favorite song and music video as it speaks about true love between an Indian girl and a foreign guy. Though it doesn't fall into the pop category and rather goes into ghazal, it was still popular for Pankaj Udha's beautiful composition.

13.Chuimui Si Tum-Milind Ingle

This was one great song from Milind Ingle's "Yeh hai prem" album. The cute small teddy bear became a rage after this video was released.

14.Kudi Jach Gayi-Milind Ingle

This song was a continuation of Chuimui si. It had great punjabi beats and the video became quiet popular.

15.Sach Bolta Hoon Main-Pankaj Udhas

A beautiful composition by Pankaj Udhas with a heart touching video.

16.Wo Ban Sanwar Kar-Pankaj Udhas

A great song by Pankaj Udhas which depicts a rather cute love story in the video.

17.Is Kadar Pyaar Hai-Sonu Nigam

Sonu Nigam's one of the beautiful gems. Those who listen to this song will literally have tears in their eyes. The video is also fantastic.

18.Ab Mujhe Raat Din-Sonu Nigam

It was one of the most romantic compositions of Sonu Nigam with his mellifluous voice. The video was also equally romantic.

19.Kuch Tum Socho-Sonu Nigam

A happy melody song with a happy ending in the music video. One of Sonu Nigam's best.

20.Piya Basanti Re-Ustad Sultan Khan,Chitra

And here is the best of the lot. This song oozes with melody and the music video was one of the most popular videos of the millenium 2000. Of course "Piya Basanti" album won the Gold Award. The continuation of this video is another song "Surmayi aankhen" which was also a beautiful melody like this one.

Thirumana Ennum Nikkah music review

Movie: Thirumanam Ennum Nikkah

Cast: Jai,Nazriya Nazim,Deekshita

Director: Anees

Music director: M.Ghibran

As I had already mentioned in my previous review on Naiyyandi's music, M.Ghibran has got abundant talent in him. He could well be the next big music director of this era. All his previous works had a lot of experimentation with music and weighed high on melody. Thirumanam Ennum Nikkah is the tallest height to which he has reached. I thought I should surely review this album excluding all the other commercial soundtracks which has been released.

1.Chillendra Chillendra-Sundar Narayan Rao,Kaushiki Chakrabarthy,Munna Shaukat Ali,M.Ghibran

This song begins off on a beautifully arranged Qawwali segment. It turns out to be a breezy number soon after. Oozing high on melody, this love duet makes for a great romantic as well as a great spiritual listen. Sundar Narayan Rao who is a regular in many of Ghibran's albums, renders this track with perfection. Kaushiki Chakrabarthy, a Bengali classical singer sweeps away laurels with her sweet voice. The lines in Hindi sung by her deserves a special applause.

2.Enthaara Enthaara-Shadab Faridi,Chinmayi Sripada

Beginning with a wonderful piano sound, this number moves onto a tremendous pallavi "Enthaara enthaara..." by Shadab Faridi. He is the perfect choice for this melody as he can reach the higher notes fantastically. Chinmayi gratefully accompanies him by maintaining in lower notes. Not to mention, her voice is as sweet as ever. The well sequenced beats makes this song a sureshot winner. It creeps on to you slowly after a few listens and you might want to hit the repeat button!

3.Kannukul Pothivaipen-Charulatha Mani,Sadhana Sargam,Vijay Prakash,Dr.R.Ganesh

Here comes the pick of the album. This track perfectly proves that only Ghibran can flawlessly compose a Carnatic fusion amidst the plethora of new composers today. Jaladrangam has become almost non-existent today. But it is this instrument which provides a magical touch to the song. Based on Mukhari and Hamirkalyani/Kedar raagas, this peppy Carnatic song has some great classical voices of Charulatha Mani and Sadhana Sargam. Vijay Prakash croons with his Carnatic notes at the highest. Dr.R.Ganesh also does a commendable job. Overall, a great Carnatic melody that is sure to be loved by the general listeners and classical music lovers alike.

4.Khwaja Ji-Arifullah Shah Khalif-e-Rifayee and group

A traditional Sufi-Qawwali track that is soulful from the start. Being a Shirdi Sai Baba devotee, I instantly got attached to this number as it sounded much like the Sai Bhajans I have heard(though many Sai Bhajans have originated from Qawwali music). Arifullah sounds like Kailash Kher. But he renders this short track in the right spirit along with his group.

5.Rayile Ra-Bonnie Chakraborty,"Isai Mazhalai" Harish,Ashwitha,Nivas Yazin Nizar

This is probably the best ever so called "Train song" I have ever heard, due to its intense orchestration and catchy tune that has a string of melody attached to it. The digitalized child cry at the beginning, the highly paced techno beats and the transparent melody makes this track an enjoyable one. I cannot deny the fact that it is based on my favorite raaga Keeravani. And the raaga is at its best when the line "Kottum mazhai vaanin piriva..." pops up. Bonnie Chakraborty is yet another North Indian singer to watch out for. The chorus which sings "Rayile ra rayile ra.." sound like a Sufi chant.

6.Yaaro Ival-Nivas Yazin Nizar

What would be an album without a hero-seeing-the-girl-for-the-first-time song? This track is a perfect example for that phrase. With a slight Sufi chorus start, this song begins offbeat with its highly paced percussion and the beautiful melody that is evident right from the beginning. Nivas Yazin Nizar's singing is out of the world as he puts the right emotion at the right places. His improvisations adds to the beauty of the song.

7.Zikr-Traditional

Though this track is not present in the CD version, it is available in digital downloads. It is a 2 minute traditional Islamic track with a superb haunting spiritual beat. It gives the perfect ending to the highly Sufi influenced soundtrack.

Verdict:

I have never reviewed a soundtrack like this one before. Because it contains all elements of music in right proportions. Though all the songs have Rahmanish touches, Ghibran follows his own unique style and he is a versatile music director to watch out for. If you appreciate good music sans commercial music, then you should never miss Thirumanam Ennum Nikkah!!!
